On High Amp Application, Positive Battery Cable to Alternator must be Upgraded to Heavier Gauge Wire(4 Gauge Recommended) See Chart Below

When installing a High Amp Alternator it is important to upgrade the positive cable that goes from the Alternator to the Battery. Without doing so you will not receive the proper voltage or amperage. More important you can cause damage to your battery or to the wire from you Alternator ending in catastrophic failure. Changing this wire to accommodate the upgrade is a must.
